Get to know me

I live a very dynamic lifestyle and have a very structured job. Couple that with modern technology like AI—and while I love the convenience it provides—it can be a recipe doomed to block creativity. I know I’m not alone in feeling that way.

Part of the reason I created this blog was to re-cultivate my creative side.

More importantly, I wanted to create a space for like-minded individuals. I live a unique lifestyle—as some others do and many aspire to—and I hope to share what’s possible when you decide to just go for it. Whether your interests are similar to mine or completely different, if you have a goal or a dream and need a little inspiration to get there, I hope this can be a place where you find it.

Little Vanessa couldn’t have imagined the life she lives now. I’m the second of five children, and I’ve always been the “wild child.” When I was younger, I wanted to be a veterinarian because of my love for animals. Then, in my early twenties, I considered becoming a forensic pathologist. It was a big shift when I decided to become a pilot, but nine years later, I’m so glad I did.

Not only do I love my job, but I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities it’s provided. I’ve met so many amazing people and visited countries I never thought I’d have the chance to see had I not simply decided to go for it.

All of this is to say that I love sharing my experiences and the things I’ve learned along the way. Whether it’s a travel guide or hack, dog mom tips, or routines and little things that make everyday life easier, I hope you find as much value in them as I have.

Thanks for being here. I hope something you find on this blog inspires you to take that trip, chase that goal, try something new, or simply see what’s possible when you decide to go for it.
